Just wanted to share...I got up this morning early and went out by my pond to drink my cup of coffee and just prepare for the day. I love that time of morning before it gets so hot it forces you indoors.  Anyway, I was just sitting there, relaxing and I felt something cold touch my hand. I glanced down and this huge bullfrog was just sitting right next me! I kept on sipping on my coffee and he just kept edging a little closer to me until he was right up against my leg. I thanked him for taking the time to be with me and that I hated the idea of leaving him, but I had to go back inside and start my day. I hadn't moved yet, but he looked at me and then with a big jump landed in the pond and went about his business. I never mess with the frogs as I don't want them to get so used to people that they might get hurt from trusting the wrong person, so he's never been picked up or bothered, but he's also never just sat beside me like that. I wondered most of the day what his message had been and once night finally fell and I could take the time to really think about I came to this conclusion - it didn't have to 'mean' anything! Just the knowledge that I could sit next to a huge bullfrog in perfect harmony for just that time was enough. It was one of those moments in life where just being there is important. Knowing that in the grand scheme of things that frog and I were just two tiny parts of the Universe, side by side, just being. Blessings & Much Love Kay |

Kestrel, two nights ago, while watching late night tv, I was shocked to see a baby possum in the house. I watched it for a long time. Poor thing was scared and I didn't want to frighten it. It took me awhile, but I found a way to get it back outside without hurting it. I'll take a look and see what possum totem is about.
My mother has something going on with dogs, though she doesn't seem to really like them much. When a family member has died or is about to die, a dog will come to her door.

Wow, Veronica, that is pretty wild. I am amazed that the possum came into the house. It makes me wonder if it was ill. That thing and your mom with the dogs is amazing.
I have this thing with cats. They LOVE me. Friends with cats report that when they are on the phone with me their normally solitary cat will come sit on their lap and have even been known to nuzzle the phone or the computer keyboard if I'm talking to them on IM. It is really wild.

Well it seems we are all being visited by natures spirits in different ways. Yes they can come in meditation, a dream, just come up and sit next to you like the frog, or sometimes get inside your house. Frogs are all about cleansing, this can be emotional or physical. Hippo wants you to stay true to yourself. Also take care of you skin Laura make sure you don't get to much sun. Opossum tells us if your in a corner rely on your instincts to find your best way out. Cats often come around when someone is on the phone. I think they want attention. But sometimes they have messages from ancestor spirit guides who are trying to communicate with you. On a recent trip to the Shanley hotel I had a sensation of a cat rubbing my leg. Looked down and didn't see anything so I believe their might be spirit cats at the Shanley . When I arrived home my dogs went really nuts like why was I with this other animal. I have been thinking about having a daily creature from nature visit us here and tell everyone what it might mean if one shows up in our life in a different way. As the frog, hippo and opossum have come into your lives. Do you guys think it might be a good idea? Let me know !!!

My animal totem is a lion, I have always had an obsession with lions.. and funny enough I was just in Vegas and spent a good portion of the time near the lion habitat. They are magnificent! It's no surprise that my animal totem is a lion after the last life I had, in the Holocaust.. the lion helps bring me strength that I need. I am also a Leo, and I apparently had a past life in Kenya in the 1700's where I was able to communicate with lions. My book "My Five Autobiographies" is coming out very soon and it's about my five recent lives and how I have been affected by them today. That Kenyan life is in the book and sometime in the future I plan to write about the lion as an animal totem.

Ok, Sorry I am late with this, computer issues this morning. I had a friend suggest our first Animal Totem interview be with Beaver. I plan on working with a different Animal Spirit each day! The Beaver! He is all about productivity. If you have a project or job to be done call on Beaver for help. Don't waste your time and energy on non-productive activities. Stay focused on the task at hand. Also call on Beaver if you feel trapped in a situation and want to free yourself. Beaver may be your Power Animal if your resourceful and organized. I recently had a dream about an elephant. On the elephants body were indents where I could put my feet and hands to climb up to the top of him/her. I decided to look up the meaning of the elephant and discovered it was about overcoming obstacles etc. Which is interesting as I have a small statue of Ganesha which of course is the goddess of removing obstacles etc.
I also received from a dear friend yesterday, the messages from your animal spirit guides oracle cards. I am not a card user anymore, but they are lovely cards to look at and the meanings are quite interesting to read. I was dissappointed to see no elephant card!! lol

astral, Elephant is in the power animal oracle card set. You are right elephant is about overcoming obstacles and achieving your goals in life. HI! Today 7-30-9 I decided to give a little information on another part of our Animal Spirit Totem world. We also can get messages from Spiders for instance. My pick today is the Black Widow Spider. If Black Widow shows up it means your intuitive powers are very fine tuned at this time. With all your hard work its now a time for patience. Like Spider you will be rewarded.
