I recently had a really great reading from a guy who joined PPC! I was sooo amazed at how much the animal cards he used told me about my life and the things I needed to let go to move forward.
Thanks for the reading! My animal guides are Panther or cat, Hawk and Butterfly!
What are yours? Do you have stories about them and how they have worked in your lives?!

I love love love the animals and have such great respect for my teachers and guardians in this kingdom. They are here to love us, serve us, and remind us always to respect all life. I was in the Ocean Center Aquarium in Maui yesterday and there was a woman talking with her daughter about animal totems. She was asking her how do you find out who your totem is? I had to giggle to myself, as there was a huge giraffe standing proudly right next to her just waiting to connect with this woman consciously. I graciously moved on, knowing that at the right time, in the right space this beautiful giraffe would make her presence known. Guess the woman in the Aquarium is about to do some serious visioning around her life. It reminded me of the thankfulness I feel for all of the spirit helpers in our lives and for one another - as we acknowledge our own unique and special souls. So thank you Laura and Daria for sharing. My beautiful animals at the moment are cat, cobra, shark, dog, elephant, crow, and of course porcupine who made his wondrous presence known to me many many years ago. Blessings Abundant! Rhonda

I've never thought much about animal guides before, which is strange...I'm the Dr. Doolittle of the neighborhood. I take in the strays, domestic and wild, heal them and find homes for them. I always have had an ability to handle most animals I come across. I do have dreams about a crow frequently and the first animal I helped back to health was a crow that had been shot through the wing.
At the moment I only have on dog, but am mother to a large school of Koi, a litter of wild bunnies and a possum that was attacked by a dog. She is free to leave at any time, but has decided to stay and raise her babies in the tree next to my window.
I know they play a big part in my life, but still wonder if any of them could be my guides? Any thoughts?
Blessings! Kay

I've been given a few animal totems. An Owl, White Jaguar, and a Rhino. It is interesting to look at when they showed up in my life and what was going on at that time.

I'll have to ask Kestrel about this one! Yesterday I was headed out to the store and I usually drive about 50 down this one road. Twice, 2 birds came so close in front of my car I had to put on my breaks.
As I did, I saw a cop sitting off the the side (the limit is 40 in this spot). I silently thanked the birds for warning me to slow down.
Hmm I wonder if they really do that? Kestrel?

Hi! Everyone, Well unusual things happening with animals most of the time means they are trying to give you a message. Especially if it happens a few times in a row or on consecutive days. I guess you got the message Laura and slowed down. Most Native American tribes have Animal Spirit Guides assigned directions giving protection or messages from all sides. This can vary between tribes. The Zuni make hand carved stone fetishes of all these Animal Spirits. Even during Medieval Times different animals were associated with situations. They all have messages for us. They can come to us in many ways. Just listen!!!

How do you find what your animal guides are? I have been seeing a lot of butterflies around but I am not clear as to any messages near the time of their appearances. LOL maybe they are just drawn to me. I have never really seen a lot until here recently. This past Monday, my hubby, son and I were fly-fishing and three very large beautiful butterflies close to me and my son. We also heard a bear (very close) in the woods behind us. Scared my son to death (he didnt want to leave his dads side) but I, on the other hand, got excited and felt a rush when I heard it growling. I felt peaceful all of the sudden.....not scared or nervous or ready-to-run (it was very very close!). I felt wowed and amazed to be able to hear the sounds of a wild bear...I didnt want to leave! Then yesterday I was having my yard sale and another butterfly landed on my front porch, not 5 feet from where I was sitting, reading my Wicca book :-) I am beginning to notice the beauty and inspiration of the world around me as I have never before! It almost brings me to tears! I am interested in discovering who my animal guides are and what I can learn from them....I have three beautiful dogs. But I have a real connection with one.....my KENIM....he is a Wolf/husky mix. KENIM is cherokee for protector of the family. My husband says that I am the only one that truly makes KENIM vocal (it sounds like he tells me that he loves me). KENIM chats with me every morning after my husband leaves for work (4:30am). I love animals!!! Thats about all I can say....
I have always wanted a Maccaw...
Blessed Be Dani

I have been interested in animal totems. But can never pin it down to one or two. A lot of the time they show up for the situation. Sometime it is a wolf, sometimes it is a very larger black cat, sometimes it is an owl, other times it is a bird most recently it is a mythic bird of the Phoenix and with all these beautiful animals I feel i have my own menagerie but when my friend's animals come to visit like the polar bear and the robin it tells me that those friends are thinking about me and to use their strengths in that situation.
